Who qualifies for MultiChoice bursary?

MultiChoice, a South African-based media company, offers bursaries to students in specific fields of study. You must meet the following criteria  to qualify for the fund:

  1. South African citizenship or permanent residency.
  2. You must be between 17 and 30 years old
  3. You must have completed Matric
  4. You must be studying or intend on studying towards a degree qualification, within one of the fields listed below:
    • Actuarial Science
    • Actuarial Science
    • Computer Science
    • Data & Information Science
    • Digital Media Technologies
    • Electrical Engineering
    • Information Engineering
    • Information Technology (AI & Robotics)
  5. Applicants must be accepted or already enrolled in a recognized and accredited tertiary institution in South Africa.
  6. You must have achieved a minimum academic average of 60%, if applying for this bursary for the first time
  7. You must have achieved a minimum academic average of 55%, if reapplying for this bursary
  8. Academic merit and potential (good academic record).
  9. You must have financial need, as the bursary program often aimed to assist students who may not have the financial means to pursue higher education.
  10. Commitment to contributing to the media and entertainment industry in South Africa.
