To be eligible for the Sabt Bursary, one must meet the eligibility criteria as follows:
- You must be a South African citizen
- You must under 35 years old (at the time of registration for studies)
- You must be currently in Matric in 2022 or have completed Matric
- You must be studying or intend on studying full-time
- You must be studying or intend on studying at a South African University that has been granted accreditation by the Department of Higher Education and Training (DHET)
- You must NOT be receiving any other bursary funding
- You must be unemployed
- You must be available for on-site work experience if required
- Preference will be given to students who reside and study in Durban in accordance with SABT’s Employment Equity and Business Operational requirements
- Students with disabilities are encouraged to apply
If you are shortlisted, you will be invited to attend a panel interview. If successful, you will be contacted and proceed from there. Those who do not receive any feedback after a month can consider their application unsuccesful.
Note that the deadline for the Sabt Bursary is 31 of January.
