How to Check NSFAS Status

  1. Visit my.nsfas.org.za
  2. Log in with your ID number and password
  3. Click on "Track Application" or "Application Status"
  4. Your current NSFAS status will be displayed

NSFAS Status Meanings

Application Submitted

NSFAS has received your application and it's awaiting processing.

Verification

NSFAS is verifying your information with third parties (SARS, Home Affairs, SASSA).

Evaluation

Your financial eligibility is being assessed.

Provisionally Funded

You meet the eligibility criteria. Funding confirmed subject to registration.

Application Unsuccessful

Your application did not qualify. You can appeal through the NSFAS portal.
