If you are eligible you can receive a payment from the Government as follows.

Whether you get the basic rate or full rate of telephone Allowance depends on your situation.
Your telephone or internet provider may also offer concessions or discounts. Telephone Allowance is not taxable. You’ll get the allowance every 3 months. The first quarterly payment is on or after all of the following dates:
- 1 January
- 20 March
- 1 July
- 20 September.
