How much is Mobility Allowance?

The rates for the Mobility Allowance in Australia are as follows:

  • A Standard rate of $109.30 per fortnight
  • A Higher Rate of $152.80 per fortnight

Standard rate

There are 2 ways to get the standard rate of payment. You’ll get $109.30 a fortnight by doing one or more of the following for at least 32 hours every 4 weeks on a continuing basis:

  • paid work
  • volunteer
  • self-employment
  • vocational training
  • independent living
  • life skills training.

OR

  • seek work through an employment services provider, including Disability Employment Services, Workforce Australia or Community Development Program
  • take part in Disability Management Services under the Disability Employment Service
  • get JobSeeker Payment, Youth Allowance and meet mutual obligation requirements
  • get Austudy and meet activity tests.

Higher rate
You’ll get $152.80 a fortnight if you get one of the following payments:

  • Disability Support Pension
  • Parenting Payment
  • JobSeeker Payment
  • Youth Allowance as a job seeker.
  • And are doing at least one of the following:
