How can I apply Pag Ibig Moratorium

For inquiries or application, you may get in touch with Pag-Ibig (HDMF) at (+632) 87244244 or contactus@pagibigfund.gov.ph. The application form for MPL can be accessed here and the application form for Calamity Loan here. Online application procedures can be accessed here or here. An eligible member may apply for a three-month moratorium on all Pag-IBIG Fund loan payments falling due within 16 March 2020 – 15 June 2020. The moratorium is not automatic. Members who do not want a moratorium need not apply. If applied for, necessarily, the availment of a three-month moratorium means the loan term shall be extended for another three (3) months.

During the open forum, it was clarified that as of that date, although the “Bayanihan to Heal As One Act” grants a thirty (30)-day grace period for all loans with principal and/or interest falling due within the enhanced community quarantine period without incurring interest, penalties, fees, and other charges, there is still no automatic application of the three-month moratorium given by Pag-IBIG, which moratorium must still be applied for with Pag-IBIG. Further, Pag-IBIG is currently looking into the possible automatic application of the Pag-IBIG moratorium for the first thirty (30) days, in harmony with the “Bayanihan to Heal As One Act.”

In any case, the “Bayanihan to Heal As One Act” also provides that the grant of the grace period does not preclude borrowers from paying their obligations as they fall due during the enhanced community quarantine should they so desire. Thus, although the 30-day grace period provided by the “Bayanihan to Heal As one Act” is mandatory, it does not preclude borrowers from voluntarily paying their loans should they opt to.
