The CEFA – Continuing Education for Africa, offers two main auxiliary courses under full qualificans programme. Here they are below.
- Social Auxiliary Work NQF 4
CEFA offers accredited training for Social Auxiliary Workers (SAWs) at NQF level 4. The full-time Social Auxiliary Worker course lasts 12-months, with learners spending 70% of their time in the field practice. It should be noted that the process of moderation, verification until certification can take up an additional six months.
CEFA has an extensive network of Social Workers, Mentors and Facilitators, across South Africa, which means that our courses can be presented anywhere in the country, where we have 30 or more learners.
This not only means fewer expenses for learners like for instance travelling costs and accommodation to attend a full-time course in for instance Cape Town, but most importantly helps them to learn first-hand how to become a change agent in their very own community. Throughout learners training course, CEFA maintains close contact with the participating field practice organisations, providing close support in order to make the experience a truly educational one.
Upon successful completion of this course, you would be able to pursue a rewarding career as a Social Auxiliary Worker at various non-government institutions or the Department of Social Development
