Traffic police, also known as highway patrol or traffic division, are responsible for enforcing traffic laws, regulations and ensuring safety on roads and highways. Their duties include enforcing speed limits, investigating accidents, directing traffic and controlling road congestion.
Normal police, also known as general duty police, are responsible for maintaining law and order, preventing crime, responding to emergency situations and serving the community. Their duties are broader and can include patrol, investigations, traffic enforcement and other duties as needed.
In short, traffic police specifically focus on traffic-related duties while normal police have a wider scope of responsibilities.
