What do agriculture students do?

Agriculture students study the science and business of producing crops and raising animals for food, fuel, and other products. They learn about soil management, plant and animal breeding, crop and livestock management, and the use of technology in agriculture. They also study topics such as agribusiness management, agricultural economics, and environmental science. Depending on their area of focus, they may specialize in subjects like horticulture, animal science, or agronomy. Graduates of agriculture programs may go on to work in fields such as farming, ranching, agricultural research, or agribusiness management.
