SACAP’s Advanced Certificate builds on an existing foundation of learning. It’s a short, 1-year, vocational qualification that has been specifically designed to further your knowledge and insight in psychology, human behaviour and mental health. Not only does the Advanced Certificate provide a strong focus on applied counselling and communication skills for application in a variety of counselling environments – it also develops deeper knowledge in specific counselling areas of your choice.

Bachelor of Psychology (BPsych)
SACAP’s BPsych degree is a professional qualification that leads to registration with the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA) as a Registered Counsellor. The BPsych degree empowers you with knowledge and essential “work-ready” counselling and communication skills to provide short-term supportive counselling, psycho-education and psychological assessment for the purpose of protecting and promoting psychological wellbeing with individuals and families in diverse community settings. The BPsych develops a thorough grounding in the knowledge, theory and principles of the profession of psychology and builds high intellectual independence and research capacity in the methodology and techniques of psychology.

We bring our unique psychological lens to coaching as an applied psychology and believe that in order to work effectively with others, one needs to understand and apply psychological principles within the scope of practice as a coach.
