Registered Nurse

A Registered Nurse (RN) is a licensed healthcare professional who provides direct and indirect care to patients in various settings such as hospitals, long-term care facilities, clinics, and homes. RNs assess patients’ health conditions, develop care plans, administer medications, perform diagnostic tests, and provide education and support to patients and their families.

In addition to providing direct patient care, RNs also play an important role in the coordination and management of care. This includes working with interdisciplinary teams, communicating with other healthcare providers, and using technology to maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records. RNs must have a strong understanding of the nursing process, patient-centered care, and the ethical and legal considerations involved in healthcare. They must also possess excellent critical thinking, communication, and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively under pressure in fast-paced environments.
