Two Oceans Graduate Institute is a registered private higher education institution in the Republic of South Africa since June 2017 with registered students from all over South Africa and abroad. The institution is registered with the South African Department of Higher Education and Training as a private tertiary institution under the Higher Education Act, 1997 (Registration certificate No. 2017/HE08/001). The primary focus of the Two Oceans Graduate Institute is to educate teachers for public and private primary and secondary schools in a variety of contexts.
Two Oceans Graduate Institute is registered with the Department of Higher Education and Training as a private tertiary institution under the Higher Education Act, 1997 (Registration certificate No. 2017/HE08/001). All our qualifications are accredited by the Council on Higher Education and registered by SAQA on the National Qualifications Framework (NQF).
An Executive Committee consisting of two executive directors and a chief executive officer manages the governance of the institution . A Management Committee is responsible for the management of the day-to-day academic and administrative operations.
The mission of the Two Oceans Graduate Institute is directly integrated with the work and contribution of the Two Oceans Education Foundation. This Foundation was established in 1984 with the explicit purpose of providing basic education to learners in the Western Cape region, especially to those in disadvantaged communities in and around the Cape Peninsula.
