How to Apply for Sabt Bursary

It is quite easy to apply for the Sabt Bursary. The steps for the application are outlined as follows:

  • Download the bursary application form
  • Complete the form correctly
  • Send the application via mail to iwanttowork@sabulk.co.za
  • Use the title ‘BURSARY + YEAR’ as the e-mail subject line in accordance to the year in which you are applying. Eg. ‘BURSARY2023’
  • Submit the application form in PDF format

The application must be accompanied by the following documents.

  • A certified copy of your ID document.
  • Latest grade 11 and Matric results (certified copy)
  • A certified copy of your Matric certificate, if you’ve completed it.
  • Certified copies of your recent academic records.
  • Proof of acceptance in a tertiary university on the institution’s letterhead.
  • Study fees breakdown of the university enrolled.
  • If you have a disability, you need to provide medical records.
  • Affidavit of parent’s/guardian’s jobs.
  • A motivational letter or a Statement of Purpose (SOP) and a CV (not more than 2 pages long).
  • Proof of residential status in Durban, if applicable.

Application forms must be submitted in PDF or Word format.
No hard copy applications will be accepted (only emailed applications will be considered).
