It is quite easy to apply for the Sabt Bursary. The steps for the application are outlined as follows:
- Download the bursary application form
- Complete the form correctly
- Send the application via mail to iwanttowork@sabulk.co.za
- Use the title ‘BURSARY + YEAR’ as the e-mail subject line in accordance to the year in which you are applying. Eg. ‘BURSARY2023’
- Submit the application form in PDF format
The application must be accompanied by the following documents.
- A certified copy of your ID document.
- Latest grade 11 and Matric results (certified copy)
- A certified copy of your Matric certificate, if you’ve completed it.
- Certified copies of your recent academic records.
- Proof of acceptance in a tertiary university on the institution’s letterhead.
- Study fees breakdown of the university enrolled.
- If you have a disability, you need to provide medical records.
- Affidavit of parent’s/guardian’s jobs.
- A motivational letter or a Statement of Purpose (SOP) and a CV (not more than 2 pages long).
- Proof of residential status in Durban, if applicable.

No hard copy applications will be accepted (only emailed applications will be considered).
