The rates for the Mobility Allowance in Australia are as follows:
- A Standard rate of $109.30 per fortnight
- A Higher Rate of $152.80 per fortnight
Standard rate
There are 2 ways to get the standard rate of payment. You’ll get $109.30 a fortnight by doing one or more of the following for at least 32 hours every 4 weeks on a continuing basis:
- paid work
- volunteer
- self-employment
- vocational training
- independent living
- life skills training.
OR
- seek work through an employment services provider, including Disability Employment Services, Workforce Australia or Community Development Program
- take part in Disability Management Services under the Disability Employment Service
- get JobSeeker Payment, Youth Allowance and meet mutual obligation requirements
- get Austudy and meet activity tests.
Higher rate
You’ll get $152.80 a fortnight if you get one of the following payments:
- Disability Support Pension
- Parenting Payment
- JobSeeker Payment
- Youth Allowance as a job seeker.
- And are doing at least one of the following:
