How do you qualify for a bursary?

General Requirements:

  • You must be a South African citizen
  • You must have completed Matric or currently be in Matric
  • You must not have a post-Matric qualification
  • You must be under the age of 21

  • At least 70% in Mathematics (not Maths Literacy)
  • At least 60% for English HL or 70% for English FAL
  • At least 70% for all your other subjects AND

You must be committed to enter the Old Mutual CA Training Programme and work for the company after graduation.

Actuarial Science:

  • At least 80% in Mathematics (not Maths Literacy)
  • At least 60% for English HL or 70% for English FAL
  • At least 70% for all your other subjects AND

Must be studying/have applied at any of the following Universities:

  • North-West University
  • Stellenbosch University
  • University of Cape Town
  • University of Pretoria
  • University of the Free-State
  • University of the Witwatersrand

You must be committed to qualifying as an actuary and work for the company after graduation.
