UNIVEN Courses and Entry Requirements
The University of Venda, situated in Thohoyandou, operates from its main campus, hosting four faculties, each presenting a diverse array of programs.
1. Faculty of Science, Engineering, and Agriculture:
- Offers programs such as Food Science and Technology, Animal Science, Plant and Soil Sciences, and more.
2. Faculty of Humanities, Social Sciences, and Education:
- Provides courses like African Languages, Arts and Social Sciences, Early Childhood Education, and others.
3. Faculty of Health Sciences:

General Entry Requirements:
- Applicants must hold a National Senior Certificate (NSC) certified by Umalusi.
- Achievement ratings of 4 (50-59%) or better for degree programs and 3 (40-49%) or better for diploma programs in four recognized 20-credit NSC subjects are necessary.

- The application fee is R100, non-refundable.
- Application deadline for the academic year is September 26. Apply before the deadline.
